Finalisation of transactions from abroad

In Germany, many operations such as sale and purchase or loan agreements with regard to properties as well as all the entries in the commercial trade register have to be notarized/certified. Compliance with such requirements might be difficult if you cannot visit a German notary in person. For example, if the evidence of the existence of your company registered abroad, or the right of representation of the relevant authorities (especially in the states with a common law legal system) in accordance with the German formalities is requested. This therefore could lead to considerable delays of transactions or, even jeopardize their implementation completely.

Comparable problems also appear during opening of an account and application for financing within the context of the process “know your customer” at banks.

We advise you on how to meet formal requirements according to German law abroad and which documents for your non-German company need to be provided.
